We enjoyed some great Show weather for our Group Summer Show on Sunday 28th June at the Royal Cornwall Showground. Entries were down but there were many super ponies forward for our Judges Ms. A. Hinch, Mr. A. Davies, Mr. T. Defrance and Mrs. T. Perkins to decide upon.
Two of our Members went home very happy having won Bronze Medals. Jackie Wilson took the Standard Championship with the mare Sharptor Tarot. Audrey Runnalls and Fiona Hammond’s 3 year old colt Tawna Apollo came out on top in the Miniature classes. These two ponies went on to stand Supreme and Reserve Supreme respectively.
Our Young Handler Champion Lilac White also had a very successful day with her Standard gelding Tangies Harry Potter which later won the Overall Gelding Championship.
Mr. T. Defrance judged the In Hand classes of the Unaffiliated Section. His chosen Champion went to David Bowden’s mare Lakehead Moonstone. Reserve Champion went to Mr & Mrs. Perkins 3 year old filly Shallowater Nightingale.
It was great to see William Tamblin winning the Driving class with his Miniature mare, Collytown Bella. So good for a younger generation to be carrying on a family tradition.
A great day was had by all.
